Elected MEP for the South East of England in 1999 and re-elected in 2004 and 2009, he also co-chairs the Eurosceptic Europe of Freedom and Democracy group. Nigel Farage is a founding member of the UKIP, having left the Conservative Party in 1992 after they signed the Maastricht Treaty. He was re-elected Leader of the Party in November 2010.
