Golf Day postponed
After the 11 previous golf days being held in glorious sunshine we managed to pick the wettest day of the year for 2008. Consequently it has been postponed and we will try and arrange a new date.
Guildford Marquee fully booked.
All 45 places for the Marquee at the Guildford Festival have been taken up by members that registered their interest early.
Kate Hoey has agreed to speak at our Christmas Luncheon on Friday 12 December 2008

Unfortunately due to insufficient numbers for the 20/20 luncheon scheduled for Friday 27th June it has had to be cancelled. Andrew Trotter who was originally going to speak at the May 23rd luncheon but had to cancel due to illness, will now be at the 19th September luncheon.

Ken Schofield is scheduled to speak at our August luncheon and Surrey President, Roger Knight will be our speaker on June 13th. Unfortunately Mark Austin, who was due speak at the luncheon on June 27th, has been posted abroad so is hoping to re-book for later in the year.

Guildford Marquee Confirmed
We have had confirmation of a marquee for the Dining Club on Thursday 17th July, the 2nd day of the Surrey vs Durham match. First option of tickets will go to those who have already registered an interest. The cost will be announced on the website as soon as agreed.

Andrew Trotter, Deputy Chief Constable, British Transport Police has confirmed to speak at our luncheon on May 23rd.

Mark Austin, ITN newsreader, has confirmed to speak at the June 27th luncheon and Ken Schofield has agreed to speak at the luncheon on August 22nd

We should have a new stock of club ties available before the start of the season, priced £10.50 (inc. p & p) from Les Brewin.
The first luncheon of the 2008 season will represent our 100th luncheon. Speakers will include Michael Soper, Micky Stewart and Father Antony Sutch. The 2007 player of the year presentation will also be made.
