The Brooklands Golf Society
was formed in 2004, following the winding up of the British Aerospace (Weybridge)
Golfing Society. It is open any former personnel of British Aerospace
at Weybridge. Annual Reunion Golf Days are held at Sutton Green Golf Club.
News: Our fourteenth Annual Golf Day will be held on Wednesday 23rd August 2017 (a week earlier than originally quoted) at Sutton Green Golf Club. Our thirteenth Annual Golf Day was held on Wednesday 31st August 2016 at Sutton Green Golf Club. 2016 results The twelth Annual Golf Day was held on Wednesday 26th August 2015 at Sutton Green Golf Club. 2015 Results Sad to report the death of Dennis Jacobs. His funeral was held at Randalls Park Crematorium, Leatherhead on Thursday 27th November at 2:00pm. Thereafter at The Drift Golf Club, East Horsley. The eleventh Annual Golf Day was held on Wednesday 27th August 2014 at Sutton Green Golf Club. 20 members played in the golf and 21 attended the dinner afterwards. 2014 results Sad to report the death of Syd Budd on 22nd November and Tony Almond on 1st July 2014 Even more sad news, that of the death of Tom Hayden who collapsed at the golf club on Monday morning. His funeral is provisionally booked for Monday 29th July, 1:00pm at Woking Crematorium. Sad to report the deaths of Derek Critchley and Peter Vousden. Derek's funeral is to be held at Guildford Crematorium on Friday 12th April 2013, then afterwards at Puttenham Golf Club. Details of Peter's funeral to be advised. The tenth Annual Golf Day and Re-union dinner was held on Wednesday 28th August 2013 at Sutton Green Golf Club The ninth Annual Golf Day and Re-union Dinner was held on Wednesday 29th August 2012 at Sutton Green Golf Club 2012 results The eighth Annual Golf Day was held on Wednesday 31st August 2011 at Sutton Green Golf Club. 23 members played in the golf and 27 attended the dinner afterwards. 2011 results The seventh Annual Golf Day was held on Wednesday 1st September 2010 at Sutton Green Golf Club. 19 members played in the golf and 24 attended the dinner afterwards. 2010 results Sad to announce the deaths of two of our members - Tony Chalmers and Charlie Turner. Our Captain for 2010 is David Dadge. The seventh Annual Golf Day will be held on Wednesday 1st September 2010. The sixth Annual Golf Day was held on Wednesday 2nd September 2009 at Sutton Green Golf Club. 20 members played in the golf and 27 attended the dinner afterwards. 2009 results The fifth Annual Golf Day was held on Wednesday 27th August 2008 at Sutton Green Golf Club. 26 members played in the golf and 38 attended the Reunion dinner afterwards. Stu's Fines raised £70.00 for the Cherry Trees charity. 2008 results Our Captain for 2008 is Stan Bunt . The fourth Annual Golf Day was held on Wednesday 29th August 2007 at Sutton Green Golf Club. 21 members played in the golf and 33 attended the Reunion dinner afterwards. 2007 results The third Annual Golf Day was held on Wednesday 30th August 2006 at Sutton Green Golf Club. 30 members played in the golf and 46 attended the Reunion dinner afterwards Our second Annual Golf Day was held on Wednesday 31st August 2005 at Sutton Green Golf Club. 32 members attended from far and wide to play in glorious sunshine. The first winner of the 'Ken Farmer Memorial Salver' is Derek Critchley with Stuart Shoesmith runner up. An excellent evening dinner was rounded off with a splendid toast to Ken Farmer proposed by George Buzzing.
